Miriam De Dios Woodward is President & CEO of De Dios Consulting LLC, a company she founded in 2024 to help businesses better reach and serve one of the largest, fastest-growing, youngest and most underserved markets in the U.S. – Latinos. A native of Jalisco, Mexico, Miriam grew up in Fairfield, California and Perry, Iowa and currently resides in West Des Moines, Iowa with her husband and two young daughters.

Miriam is a transformational leader with more than 20 years of professional experience supporting, growing and building services and technology businesses. She thrives in leading businesses into their next phase of growth and developing and implementing consumer-focused business growth strategies. With more than 17 years serving credit unions, Miriam is deeply passionate about advancing the credit union movement through financial inclusion and advocating for underserved groups.
Prior to starting her business, Miriam spent six years as the Global CEO of ViClarity leading the company’s transformation from a credit union compliance services company (known as PolicyWorks) to a global regtech/fintech and services company serving multiple regulated industries. Prior to taking the helm at ViClarity, Miriam led Coopera Consulting as CEO for 7 years helping hundreds of credit unions across the country grow by reaching underserved markets. She held roles of Vice President and Emerging Markets Director prior to CEO and spent 12 years with the organization. In addition to her C-suite experience, Miriam’s leadership includes positions with John Deere Financial and State Farm Insurance Companies.
Over the years, Miriam has received numerous awards and recognitions for her achievements including receiving the 2022 Ivy Women in Business Inspiration Award from the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University, being named to the 2020 LatinX | Hispanic Top 100 Hall of Fame by theboardiQ, being named one of 32 of the Region’s Midwest Power Brokers Most Influential People of Color by Madison 360, receiving a 2019 40 Under 40 award from the Des Moines Business Record, a 2016 Woman to Watch designation from Credit Union Times and receiving the 2014 LULAC Iowa Latino Business Person of the Year award.
Miriam currently serves as an independent board director for Homesteaders Life Company. She also volunteers for a number of community and industry organizations including the Greater Des Moines Partnership, Capital Crossroads, Iowa State University’s Ivy Women in Business and Ivy Dean’s Council advisory boards and the World Council of Credit Union’s Global Women’s Leadership Network global advisory committee.
Miriam earned her bachelor’s degree with honors from Iowa State University and her Master of Business Administration degree and leadership certificate from the University of Iowa. She is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Leading Change and Organizational Renewal executive education program. Miriam is currently pursuing a certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from Cornell University’s ILR School.
